The ABC interview with the Biden-Harris ticket led nowhere. Most questions were far too broad, few specific follow ups. For example, Mr. Biden says he will “mandate” that Americans wear masks. How will he do that? Simple question. David Muir mentioned the mandate but didn’t ask it.
Here are four other simple questions that Mr. Muir didn’t ask.
- Why did you call President Trump xenophobic after he stopped flights from China because of Covid in late January?
- Why didn’t you mention the growing street violence in the USA in your nomination speech?
- Was there systemic racism during the Obama-Biden administration? If so, why was it not addressed?
- There are now rolling blackouts in California because that state has destroyed the fossil fuel and nuclear energy industries. Wouldn’t the same thing happen nationally with the Green New Deal?
And one crusher for Kamala Harris: you said publicly that you believe the women who accused both Brett Kavanaugh and Joe Biden. So how can you run with Mr. Biden?
These are not difficult questions but ABC did not ask them. So here’s another question: why not?
