Bill & Beck React to the Kate Steinle Murder Trial Verdict and the Latest Russia Investigation Developments

This week there was positive economic news that many presidents would have shouted from the rooftop. So, it should have been a slower week with positive vibes for President Trump, but instead he used Twitter and hijacked any good news that was coming his way. He started the week off by saying that TIME magazine wanted him to be “Person of the Year.” Later, he went on to say that “We should have a contest as to which of the Networks, plus CNN and not including Fox, is the most dishonest, corrupt and/or distorted in its political coverage of your favorite President (me)…” President Trump, get off Twitter, you’re only hurting yourself!

Last night the verdict was reached in the Kate Steinle trial. Jose Garcia Zarate was acquitted. Since Bill was behind Kate’s Law he had a lot to say during his conversation with Glenn Beck. He said, it doesn’t get any worse than this, it’s about as bad as life gets. We no longer live in a country where justice is served.

So, who killed Kate Steinle? Zarate did, but the jury found that it might have been an accident. However, after Zarate shot Kate Steinle, he threw the gun into the bay and ran off. If this were really an accident, he would have rushed to Kate to try and help her.

Jim Steinle, Kate’s father, was at the trial every day. He said that justice was rendered, but it wasn’t really justice. “We have never had a second of anger — not a moment. Frustration, maybe, and sadness for sure, but no anger and no retaliation or vindictiveness or anything like that. We’re not that kind of people. Even if this guy gets 100 years in prison, it doesn’t solve anything; it doesn’t help anything. We would just like people to know ... that’s the Steinles’ feelings.”

Bill dives into the deeper picture about who really killed Kate Steinle. He says it was the city of San Francisco and the politicians that run it. They let an illegal immigrant who is also a convicted felon and has been deported 5 times come back and stay in the city.

Beck says he is so baffled by the verdict. He assumed Zarate would be found guilty and would have to serve time in jail. Bill says that the only reason Zarate was found not guilty is because this happened in California, land of the liberals. Bill says that he doesn’t want to undermine the jury system, he just wants to lay the blame where it belongs, which is the city and county of San Francisco, Senator Harry Reid and Senator Mitch McConnell.

McConnell and Reid could have passed Kate’s Law. Kate’s Law said that any convicted criminal who gets deported and comes back to the U.S. goes to prison. Reid killed the bill because he didn’t want to demonize immigrants and McConnell wouldn’t put it up for a vote. So, these politicians are just as responsible as anybody for the ongoing horror that we’ve had to witness.

In our system of justice, which is evaporating quickly, we give the accused every opportunity to a so-called fair trial. This is why some of the evidence about Zarate’s background was excluded from the trial.

What message does this send to San Francisco and illegals? Bill says they just don’t care. They say that Bill is demonizing illegal immigrants. They can’t seem to step back and say there should be fairness, and justice and laws should be upheld. The Governor, Jerry Brown, is very content having California become a sanctuary state. But, we have a system that is broken and no one to fix it.

Beck and Bill moved on to the tax bill update where so far 49 out of the 52 Republican senators have approved the tax bill. Beck poses the question; will they be able to pass this today? Bill says that they will be able to get this through the Senate by Friday, but they’ll probably have to make another adjustment to get those other 2 senators on board. It should not be this hard, but once again, we’re dealing with a group of people that are not looking out for the folks. It does help working class America. It’s not a fantastic bill, but it’s better than what we currently have.

The thinking is that when you stimulate the economy to this extent more jobs will become available and the market will drive salaries up. So, you will make money from this bill, not only by getting a tax cut, but your opportunities will expand.

Former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, has pleaded guilty to willfully and knowingly to making false and fictitious statements to the FBI about conversations he had with Russia’s ambassador. Bill doesn’t think that this means very much, but of course CNN and MSNBC will have a full roster of hysteria. Flynn was a guy who had a very nebulous association with Turkey and Russia. However, the inside story is that apparently, they made a deal with Flynn saying that if he lied to the FBI they would leave his son alone.

For additional commentary listen to Bill’s interview with Glenn Beck which is posted above.
