Bill & Beck on Border Security, the Issue of "Whiteness" and More

Bill started off the weekly Beck interview by putting Beck in the hot seat. Bill asked who the first person in the media was to call for support from the National Guard to help protect the United States southern border? Beck takes a couple of jabs, joking around saying Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson, but Bill promptly corrects Beck letting him know it was him. Right after 9/11, Bill proposed the exact same plan that Trump instituted yesterday. Trump announced this week that he was sending the National Guard to the U.S.-Mexico border to fight illegal immigration. Trump signed a proclamation on Wednesday that invokes a part of the U.S. Code called Title 32 to do so. Under this title, Troops are federally funded but remain under state control, sent at the behest of that state's governor.

Bill said his reasoning to support proposal was due to U.S. security concerns post 9/11. After the attacks on the World Trade Center, terrorists knew they could infiltrate the U.S. and the easiest way to get in is by crossing the southern border. So, it would make sense to back up the border patrol using the National Guard. Bill’s plan would stop not only terrorists, but illegal immigrants, cartels and drug smugglers that were trying to sneak in.

Bill goes on to say that if there is a national security problem the president is allowed to use the National Guard and the military to enforce the law. If the president or a sitting governor wants more security, they can call the military to provide it. The question then becomes, who would oppose better security at the border, stopping drugs and millions of people illegally entering this country? Not only who would oppose this, but why would anyone oppose it? Beck says that he thinks Democrats would oppose this plan so that they could guarantee more votes and at the same time Republicans would oppose it because they wouldn’t want illegal immigrants taking the jobs of U.S. citizens.

Everyone knows that Mexico isn’t controlled very well and most of the country is violent, so there shouldn’t be any opposition to help secure our border. Trump’s plan should be applauded because it’s protecting American’s from danger, drugs and violence.

Bill’s theory is that the left doesn’t want White people to control the country any longer. So, they want to get as many minorities from as many countries as they can to come into the U.S. to strangle “whiteness.” Beck disagrees saying that he doesn’t believe that is really what the far left’s goal is. While they do use race to further their agenda, it’s not all about being White. The left is going after those who believe in capitalism and the typical American idea of freedom. Bill says if you listen to the far-left, it’s all about white privilege and white supremacy.

The next topic that Beck and Bill discuss is the boycott that David Hogg and Media Matters have launched against Fox News’ Laura Ingraham. Beck says when he and Bill were at Fox, the company didn’t stand up for them, but he’s glad to see now that they’re throwing their support behind her. Bill says he thinks Fox had to issue a statement in support of Ingraham because of what happened to him. This is the fourth boycott that Media Matters has lead against Fox News anchors. When you have four big names, Beck, O’Reilly, Hannity and Ingraham all being attacked by Media Matters, the company has to stand up and say ‘we’re not going to throw Laura Ingraham over the side’. Bill ends the conversation saying that these boycotts, which are led by Media Matters, are getting out of hand. These people are trying to destroy industries, businesses and people.
