Highly-Suspicious Police Shooting in Minnesota

On Saturday, there was a police shooting in Minneapolis where an officer shot an Australian woman who had reported a possible assault. Here’s Bill’s take:

“An Australian woman named Justine Damond called the Minneapolis Police on Saturday night, saying a sexual assault may be occurring near her home. Alright, two Minneapolis Police officers responded, and one of those officers was, or is, the first-ever Somali-American police officer in the Twin Cities area.

“Okay, he allegedly shot Justine Damond dead from the police car. I’ve been trying all day to figure out what the police side is, on this. Okay. This is a big thing in Australia, because she’s an Australian. This is going to be a big story, going to be a big story. I’m not speculating on anything.

“Very unusual for the police union not to put out the officer’s side on a shooting like this. Very unusual. And again, the papers are reporting that the officer, this Somali-American officer shot the woman, and remember the woman was the one who called it in, and she was in her pajamas, talking to them from the police car. I’m not going to speculate, I’m not going to speculate.”
