Today was a huge day for the Senate Judiciary committee as they grilled Trump’s pick for FBI director … or was it?

Christopher Wray testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee for most of the afternoon today as part of his confirmation hearing to be the next FBI director, two months after President Trump fired James Comey.

On tonight’s edition of the No Spin News Bill O’Reilly made a bold prediction about the nomination of President Trump’s pick for America’s ‘top cop’.

“It’s a slam dunk. With the Republicans having the majority he will be confirmed as the FBI chief.”

So what does Bill think about the seemingly forthcoming nomination?

“Fine with me. He looks like an honest man. A lot of experience in these things. Said all the right things today.”

Wray assured senators that he would never let politics get in the way of the bureau's mission.

The FBI's work will be driven by "the facts, the law and the impartial pursuit of justice," Wray said. "My loyalty is to the Constitution and the rule of law. They have been my guideposts throughout my career, and I will continue to adhere to them no matter the test."

Not at all surprisingly, the questioning from the Senators focused mainly on the Russia investigation. Wray appeared to firmly support Robert Mueller’s investigation, saying that he did not believe Mueller is involved in a witch-hunt.

Also – the liberal senator Dianne Feinstein came up during O’Reilly’s analysis of Wray and O’Reilly’s thoughts might surprise you!

“Dianne Feinstein, who I think is an honest woman … I know you disagree, and I disagree with a lot of her policies … but she’s not dishonest.”
