The Disney theme parks are ramping up to reopen and besides cleaning everything including Donald Duck, the company is printing up a massive amount of documents and this is anything but goofy. This is serious. In order to gain entrance to the parks, you will have to sign a waiver that you won’t sue the House of Mouse.

 

Business people understand that extortionist attorneys are lining up to sue over COVID. Expect scores of TV commercials urging COVID victims to sue for “compensation.” This is how our civil legal system works - lawyers working on contingency file suit hoping the individual or company will “settle.” The barrister gets 40 percent of the take. If the sued person doesn’t settle, the case could cost him or her hundreds of thousands to defend in court.

 

Nice system.

 

Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer like it. That’s because the lawyer lobbyists give Democrats hundreds of thousands in donations. So Pelosi and Schumer oppose legislation to limit COVID lawsuits.

 

But not Democrat Andrew Cuomo. The Governor snuck limits on COVID suits into a budget bill. Nice try, Gov. We caught it.

 

Generally speaking, the USA is not a corrupt country. But our legal system can be very corrupt. And Disney knows it.
