Democrats in Congress badly need to get some kind of immigration deal. The party is adrift, not able to control it’s radical elements or provide solutions to vexing problems. Basically, the Democrats have one strategy: hate Trump.
It is clear that most Americans have had enough of lax security at the southern border. President Trump knows that and is willing to trade a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants who were brought to America by their parents, for federal money to build a security wall.
Mr. Trump also wants to stop immigration policies that allow foreign born people to come to America not on merit.
Democrats foolishly oppose the wall for political reasons but the President will not sign immigration reform without it. So place your bets: who will prevail in this intense debate.
