Not many are paying attention, but the reporting on the January 6 committee is as dishonest as the Russian-Collusion fiasco and the blatantly unfair Judge Kavanaugh witch hunt.

The committee's star witness, White House assistant Cassidy Hutchinson, testified under oath that President Trump lost control of himself after the Capitol riot began. Stunning charge.

The problem is her testimony is 100 percent hearsay. Nothing backs it up. The committee could have illuminated Ms. Hutchinson's allegations by subpoenaing the Secret Service agents involved. The committee did not do that and did not explain why not.

But I can tell you why the Secret Service wasn't called - the agents would have contradicted Cassidy Hutchinson, that's why.

And the committee didn't need to do the right and fair thing because the press has already convicted Mr. Trump on everything. Why bother with facts?

This is called corruption. Every American, including those who despise Trump, should understand the dishonesty, and be appalled by it.
