On this Friday, we have good economic news; employment is up in America. And that means that a “depression” is not on the horizon. As I have reported, the country is already in a “recession” because consumer spending is now going down. Inflation - higher prices for everything - means working Americans cannot spend as much money on discretionary items.

However, we don’t want this country to get any worse economically, so the employment numbers today are a major positive. President Biden will take credit for it, but so what? The overall condition of America is bad, so good news will do the President little good until he begins solving some major problems, and I don’t believe he is capable of doing that.

As we reported last night, summer in America is a time when things pretty much stop. The Supreme Court, Congress, Mr. Biden, all the power players on Wall Street, everybody takes the month of August off – we’re like France now. But that’s a good thing; we need to take a deep breath.

There is no way President Biden can recover his credibility in time for the November election, and that’s important because we don’t want the horrendous Democratic machine to continue harming the country. However, we can never root against our own citizens. We always want good news in general.

Have a nice weekend, new column Sunday at noon. See you on Monday.
