Great American baseball legend Derek Jeter captured headlines this fall when he retired from the game after 20 years as the New York Yankees’ shortstop.  Considered one of the most prolific hitters in the Major League, he is a five-time World Series champion.  On November 5^th, 1996, he was unanimously voted Rookie of the Year.
