Once again, the Justice Department is under scrutiny for alleged anti-Trump behavior. The latest story goes like this: after the President fired FBI chief James Comey in May 2017, the assistant attorney general, Rod Rosenstein, met with anti-Trump agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. In that meeting, Rosenstein allegedly said he would wear a wire while talking with Mr. Trump to record conversations.

Rosenstein now says that comment was a jest. But apparently Baker told Congressional investigators it was serious. Soon, Rosenstein will have to testify under oath about it but I expect him to stick to his story.

President Trump seems to believe Rosenstein as the assistant AG traveled with him to Florida yesterday. I don’t know if the Secret Service patted Rosenstein down.

That was a jest.

So now we have more chaos at the Justice Department. It is worth keeping in mind that Rosenstein is dealing with Special Counsel Robert Mueller so for President Trump it might be The Godfather philosophy: “Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer.”

Tonight on the No Spin News beginning at 7, we’ll have more on this story, also a look at the radical Dan Rather! Who knew? I think we all did.

Thanks for visiting us today.
