China is busy rattling its sabers over Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan. Predictable. The Xi government will eventually make a move to subjugate the capitalist island as it did with Hong Kong, but nobody knows the timetable.

By electing a weak leader, Joe Biden, the American people have raised their own personal risk. Xi and Putin feared Trump to some degree. They do not fear Biden.

Democrats, in general, support a "soft" foreign policy where the USA does not throw its weight around. So, now, we are seeing Putin take advantage of that, and Xi may follow.

The fact that President Biden is a short-timer means China has a fairly quick decision to make. Does it start a war with Taiwan that will hurt Beijing economically? Or do the communists act in a bellicose way without pulling the trigger?

I don't know. Biden doesn't either. But I do know this: I have no confidence in our Commander-in-Chief.
