LeBron James is in trouble. 

By tweeting a threat to the police officer in Columbus, Ohio who shot a teenage girl wielding a knife, Mr. James has alienated millions of people. 

You may remember the football quarterback, Colin Kaepernick. It was not the kneeling that caused Mr. Kaepernick to lose credibility. It was when he wore a pair of socks that depicted police officers as pigs. 

Once Kaepernick did that, rational people turned away. It will be the same with LeBron James. 

The video shows the Columbus police officer may have saved a life, because the 16-year-old girl had a knife in her hand and was about to thrust it into another teenage girl. What should the officer have done? Allowed the stabbing to happen? 

In every police department, the rules of engagement are you can use deadly force when your life is threatened and when another life is threatened. So, based upon the video we have seen, the officer in Columbus, Ohio, is surely entitled to the benefit of the doubt - which LeBron James did not give him.
