The networks are not happy about giving President Trump prime time exposure tonight to make his case for a border wall. Even though Mr. Trump has generated millions for the network news divisions, the chieftains despise him. That’s mandatory in show business as any personal pro-Trump sentiment would be a career killer.

The leftist mantra presently is that a border wall is racist and that’s all there is to it. Never mind the vast quantities of hard narcotics that are smuggled across the border and forget about the millions of people who have sneaked into the USA. Not factors. The wall is racist, repeat after me.

And the President is a racist. So are voters who support him. So is everyone working for him. Racist, racist, racist.

But President Obama was not a racist when as a senator he voted to support a barrier on the southern border. Senator Schumer was not a racist when he did the same thing. Nope, no way.

Anyone who brands someone racist for supporting a border wall is a dishonest extremist. The tactics of demonization should be condemned by all fair-minded Americans. Policy disagreements can make free societies stronger. Peddling hatred weakens the country.

Tonight will preview the President’s speech. We’ll see how my vision of the wall issue will compare to his.

See you beginning at 7 eastern time this evening.
