Liberation Day here on Long Island. Governor Cuomo has lifted the mask mandate and it won’t be coming back anytime soon. That’s because more than ten million New Yorkers have been vaxxed, so the Covid danger is diminished.

 

However, some will continue to mask up and that’s their right. We’ll see public mask-wearing for a long time. More than a few folks remain frightened.

 

It will be fascinating to see which businesses continue the mask thing. I’ve decided not to patronize places that demand mask-wearing. Again, they have a right to do that but it’s annoying. So, I’ll take my money elsewhere.

 

Not vindictive, just a matter of preference.
