No Protests for Mekay James

On this Tuesday, I am thinking about 3 year old Mekay James who was shot dead Saturday night in the Austin section of Chicago, on the city’s west side.

Little Mekay was driving with his father when a blue Honda pulled alongside. Several shots were fired at the father, who was wounded.

Mekay was one of 102 people shot in Chicago over the weekend. 14 human beings died in the record-breaking carnage. Few arrests will be made.

The Black Lives Matter organization issued no statement, it has never issued a statement about black on black murder. Not once that we can find.

So there will be no protests for Mekay James. He will be buried and become a statistic.

The mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, some call her light-weight, has no solution to the horrendous, ongoing violence in Chicago’s black community.

Instead, she criticizes policing.

There comes a point where honest citizens must realize what exactly is happening right before their eyes. The Black Lives Matter movement doesn’t care about Mekay or the hundred and one other people shot in Chicago over the weekend. It cares about power, and is using the horrendous police killing of George Floyd to achieve it.

Please say a prayer for Mekay James.
