Every day dozens of stories cross my desk and it is up to me alone to decide whether to broadcast them on TV and radio. I am proud to say that I know a phony news report when I see one because I have more than four decades of experience in journalism.
That’s why I knew the “Russian Collusion” thing was a setup to get Trump, and we never gave that story any attention no matter how many anonymous-sourced reports The New York Times printed.
By the way, did you hear any retractions or apologies from the Collusion people? I have not.
Earlier this week, the unregulated internet spit out a story that President Biden wanted Americans to ration hamburgers because of Global Warming. Within ten seconds, I knew the report was bogus because there was no sourcing whatsoever.
But a number of national TV news programs ran with the absurdity largely because they wanted it to be true.
Just like the Russia people.
Tonight on the No Spin News, we’ll discuss phony stories and how they get around. See you beginning at six eastern.
