Must Watch: O'Reilly's Irish Journey - Bill gives details on his trip as he ventures to the cities and countryside of Ireland.

At the northernmost point of the Irish Republic, Bill relishes the relatively affluent area of County Donegal with big fishing and agriculture businesses. It was here that the Norse first invaded around 795 AD. It was kind of a vacation for the Vikings, pillaging Ireland and misbehaving in every way. Read more from O’Reilly’s Ireland Trip here.

As a Historian, Bill O’Reilly appreciates places like “Derry and Belfast” in Ireland. He even has some history there, as he wrote about it in his first book, the novel "Those Who Trespass.

Bill’s Irish adventure makes its way to nature, walking around the primeval forests, which are rare in Eire. Most of the trees were cleared for agriculture and fuel, so that's why you get those great green landscapes. But in the far north, the woods are extensive.

O’Reilly ventures to the area where he first reported on "The Troubles" in the early 1980s. He went to a place called Devis Flats - an IRA stronghold where weapons were hidden in apartments. He even witnessed a raid on the property, and it was very nasty. British soldiers and Ulster police confronted hundreds of Catholics, and mayhem ensued.
