Great American rock ‘n roll king Elvis Presley is one of our nation’s most enduring music legends.  He rose to fame in the 50s and 60s with his signature voice and provocative vocals, and then launched an equally successful film career.  He served his country to boot, and he was promoted to the rank of sergeant by the U.S. Army on January 14, 1960.
