The Pandemic is Getting Tedious

Even though we are all witnessing history, the pandemic situation is getting tedious. This brutal disease cannot be confronted in any meaningful way by individuals or governments.  It is a destructive force of nature that will eventually die out but not before it kills perhaps a million human beings.

Because we Americans have formed a hyper-secular society, we are now fighting amongst ourselves over the virus. The pandemic has predictably become political with President Trump in the middle.

This is NOT a good thing but it is reality. While the atrocity on 9/11 brought the country together, the virus has divided us along liberal-conservative lines.  The right wants a quick return to normalcy, the left seeks shelter from the ongoing storm.

As always, a middle path will be found but not before more suffering. The pandemic of 2020 is one for the books. I’m praying it gets to its conclusion by summer.
