“60 Minutes” Interview with Stormy Daniels

The president of CBS News says a "60 Minutes" interview with Stephanie Clifford, the adult film star known as Stormy Daniels, who alleges she had an affair with President Trump, is very much in the works and will air soon, despite reports of legal threats from Mr. Trump's lawyer.

At a conference in Israel, CBS News President, David Rhodes, told the audience that the network is working to verify information provided by Clifford before the interview airs.

"The only reason it hasn't run is that there's still a lot of journalistic work to do," Rhodes said, in remarks at the INTV conference in Jerusalem reported by Variety. "The encounter between Anderson Cooper and Stormy Daniels was accompanied also by conversations with attorneys, documents were provided, and so we have to run all that down before it runs."

Clifford filed a lawsuit in California court last week asking a judge to nullify a 2016 agreement in which she received $130,000 from Michael Cohen, Mr. Trump's attorney, in exchange for her silence about the alleged affair. She claimed in the court filing that she and Mr. Trump had a relationship over several months in 2006 and 2007.

Over the weekend, BuzzFeed reported that Trump's legal team was preparing legal action to prevent the interview from airing. Rhodes, however, said the network was not aware of any effort to block the interview.

"I haven't seen such an injunction, and I can't imagine what the basis for that would be," Rhodes said.

'Angel families' want to see Oakland mayor prosecuted for thwarting ICE raids

The term Angel Families refers to Advocates for Victims of Illegal Alien Crime (AVIAC). Angel Families are the parents that have lost children that have been killed by illegal aliens. Similar terms are ‘Angel Moms’ and ‘Angel Dads.’AVIAC invites all families who have been the victim of illegal alien crime, from a murder to ID theft, to join their group. AVIAC is also open to anyone who believes that immigration law must be followed and those who have broken the law must be held accountable.

President Donald Trump brought attention to these families during his 2016 presidential election when he brought ‘Angel Moms’ on the stage with him during an immigration speech he was delivering. Trump also thanked and honored the Angel Families for all they have done to bring attention to the actions of illegal aliens.

"These are amazing people. And I'm not asking for their endorsement. Believe me. That is tough stuff. Incredible people," Trump said. "Now is the time for all of us as one country — Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative — to band together to deliver justice and safety and security for all Americans. Let's fix this horrible, horrible problem. It can be fixed quickly.

Now, these Angel Families are demanding that the Trump administration take a tough stance against Oakland Mayor, Libby Schaaf, who thwarted a federal immigration raid this month. They are urging that she face consequences and possibly jail time.

These politicians, the Angel Families say, ignore their stories and then push legislation that the families insist will only lead to more deaths of American citizens at the hands of people who have no right to be in the country in the first place.

But while the families are angry at what they have seen, many of them said repeatedly that they are not motivated primarily by anger or vengeance, but instead to make sure that no mother or father has to endure the heartbreak and grief that they have had to go through.

Two Dead After Car Crash While Trying to Escape ICE Agents

Two people were killed in a car crash in Bakersfield, California, on Tuesday morning while fleeing ICE agents that were trying to pull them over. ICE agents originally sought after the man in the vehicle, Santo Hilario Garcia, because he matched the description of a wanted illegal alien. The pair initially pulled over for the agents, but then attempted to escape by driving off once the ICE agents exited their vehicle.

At about 6:54 a.m. Delano Police officers responded to a call about an overturned vehicle. They found an SUV rolled over onto its roof with two people inside. The driver had lost control of the car and drove off the road, the car then overturned and hit a pole. Both the male and female occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

Santa Hilario Garcia was stopped trying to cross the Mexican border into the United States three times between 2008 and 2017. He was deported under expedited removal last year. The couple were here illegally and have six children together between the ages of 8 and 18.

ICE has been cracking down on illegal immigrants in the United States under the Trump administration. In California alone, ICE said they have arrested 20,201 people suspected of residing in the U.S. illegally last year, saying that 81 percent of them reportedly had criminal convictions.

NYT And LA Times Journalists Praise UC Berkeley Student After He Wrote ‘Kill Cops,’ ‘F*** White People’

In 2017, two UC Berkeley students, one of them identified as, Ismael Chamu, was charged with felony vandalism and possession of materials to vandalize. Chamu allegedly spray-painted graffiti against police officers and white people near the university's campus, prosecutors said.

The graffiti messages said things like, "F--- White People," "F--- the police," "F--- frat Boys," "Kill Cops" and "Kill Yuppies," "Eat the Rich," "Class War" and "Black Lives Matter."

Chamu's Facebook page included many messages that were consistent with the graffiti messages, such “God Bless Antifa #F***Trump”, "f--- the police”. And in Chamu’s apartment, police found literature and pictures of things like: “Defending Our Hoods” with a picture of a knife, “Die Techie Scum,” “Attack White Supremacy,” and “Attack the Police.”

Ismael Chamu pleaded not guilty to these charges and has an April court date.

Now, on March 11, the LA Times posted a story about Chamu titled, “He attends elite UC Berkeley but lives in a trailer with no heat or sewer hookups. Soon, he'll be scrambling to find new shelter.” The LA Times article was written by Teresa Watanabe.

Watanabe’s article mentions Ismael Chamu’s run in with the law, but it’s only one paragraph near the end of the article. However, in the first version of the article Watanabe did not mention Chamu’s arrest last year. It was later updated to reflect that information. Instead, the article mainly focuses on the daily hardships that Chamu faces (being poor, having to take care of his younger sisters, living in a trailer, not being to graduate on time).

Watanabe goes on to highlight his academic career saying that in high school he graduated with a 4.0 GPA and his college essay focused on how he wouldn’t let his hardships defeat him.

Since the article was published, more than 1,000 donors have raised over $80,000 to help Chamu and his family purchase new housing. There are many deserving people out there who don’t have these anti-police and anti-white sentiments that could also use the money. However, some so-called journalists tweeted their praise for Chamu and the author of the article.

NY Times Tweet:

“Ismael Chamu is a remarkable young man,” NYT correspondent Jose A. Del Real said, linking the LA Times piece. “Please take some time to read this profile of a young man trying to escape poverty.”

LA Times Tweet:

“The grit and determination of Ismael Chamu is jaw-dropping,” LA Times politics reporter Melanie Mason said. “Kudos to [the author, Teresa Watanabe] for telling his story and deftly capturing the affordable housing crisis for CA’s college students.”

Mail Time!

  • Bill, I just had a chill run down my spine when I read who organized the Student Walk out today. Empower which is an arm of the Women's March organized this event and if what you said about the leadership having ties to Louis Farrakhan that does not bode well for our country or our students. I am afraid that they are being used as pawns.
  • Watched your No Spin News tonight as always. I was interested to hear EMPOWER was behind the Student Marches. On our local Santa Barbara News in California, they followed students from a SB high school and showed the posters and marchers chants. Bill, I didn't realize the "children‐under 18 protesters were to be concerned with "white supremacy". Six posters read "WHITE SUPREMACY KILLS. Under the writing was a picture of a white man's head wearing a red baseball cap. Another slam on whites and Trump supporters. They interviewed only one moderate young white male student. He explained that he was glad the armed police were there because he felt threatened and bullied by the protester students who were becoming loud and physically aggressive. Every day it gets harder and harder in California to feel safe and have a voice. Thanks for giving us an insight of where some of this is coming from like EMPOWER.
  • Hey Bill, love the show. I go to school at the University of Southern California and can see the liberal bias for sure. Donna Brazile is coming in to speak.... To be fair we did have Scaramucci the week before. I think Joy Behar's apology seemed quite insincere as you stated. Glad to hear Pence took it well though.
