Not the Right Time

God bless Al Michaels.

The iconic NFL play-by-play man appeared on the Howard Stern show earlier today (why?) where the host tried to harangue Michaels into opening the Super Bowl by encouraging Americans to get vaccinated.

The legendary sports broadcaster thoughtfully and articulately declined Stern's suggestion explaining that people watch football to watch football and that during the game is not the proper situation for a thoughtful discussion about vaccinations or in depths on other NFL topics like the Brian Flores situation.

Before the crazies on both sides attack Michaels for not being pro-vaxx or anti-vaxx enough let's make it clear.  He's just saying people want to enjoy the game and it's not right to attempt a discussion on Covid, which consumes cable news, while he is describing what's happening in the most important football game of the year.

That's pretty sound logic.

Also, the one thing Stern was right about in the interview with Michales is that NBC is stupid for allegedly electing to move on from Michaels, who still performs at the top of his game.

See you at Amazon next season Al.
