Matt Lauer Fired for "Inappropriate Workplace Behavior"

This morning Matt Lauer, an anchor of "Today" for two decades, was fired by NBC News after a detailed complaint about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.

Andrew Lack, the NBC News president, said in a memo that the allegation against Mr. Lauer “represented, after serious review, a clear violation of our company’s standards. As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment.”

When NBC fired Lauer the network stated, "we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.”

The incident that got Lauer booted took place during the 2014 Sochi Olympics, NBC revealed on Wednesday. According to Variety, Lauer routinely used his time traveling with NBC’s Olympics’ coverage to ask female staffers to come to his hotel rooms.

This morning on “Today,” Lauer’s co-host, Savannah Guthrie, announced the news. Appearing on the verge of tears, Ms. Guthrie said, “All we can say is we are heartbroken; I’m heartbroken.”

Lauer has yet to release a statement about the allegations.

Bill commented saying, we have entered a very dangerous period in our republic. I won’t speculate because I don’t know what happened, but every single day we have people being accused of inappropriate behavior.

Every single American should want one thing when people are accused- justice.

Justice is only possible when both sides are heard under oath. You will not find true justice in newspapers or on television.

Bill says that he wants everyone to watch for two things. First, the people who are celebrating these accusations, they’re on TV and they’re happy about what happened and they’re exploiting it. They don’t know what happened, they couldn’t possibly know, but they’re happy for whatever reason. Secondly, watch the politicians such as Nancy Pelosi. One day she wants due process, the next day she wants to hang someone.

No American should be abused, but if they are they should go to court where they can get a hearing. Accusations are not facts and accusers aren’t necessarily the victims.

New Poll Shows Roy Moore up by 5 Points

Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore holds a 5-point lead over his Democratic opponent, Doug Jones, as the race heads into the final two weeks, according to a new poll released Wednesday.

The JMC Analytics poll, conducted Monday and Tuesday, found 48 percent of voters support Moore, compared to 43 percent who support Jones.

In the wake of the allegations against Moore, 29 percent of voters said they are more likely to support the candidate, while 38 percent said they are less likely to support him. Another 34 percent said the allegations did not make a difference.

So, it looks like Moore will probably win the election on Dec. 12. If Moore loses and Jones wins the election, it makes 51 senators on the Republican side, which makes things very tough for the party.

GOP Tax Bill Update

It looks like the GOP senators are rallying and this tax bill will pass. However, there are still a host of lawmakers who haven't definitively said if they'll back the final bill. Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and John McCain of Arizona are still wild cards even as Collins and Murkowski have signaled they are warming to the proposal in recent days.

Earlier today, President Trump promoted the Republican tax reform effort, his top legislative priority.

Trump was in St. Louis, Mo., and described the two tax reform bills currently moving through Congress as a "once in a lifetime opportunity to restore American prosperity."

The visit came as Republicans in the Senate worked feverishly to hammer out a tax reform bill that can garner support from both deficit hawks and more moderate senators. Today, a version of the bill moved one step closer to the Senate floor.

But major questions still remain about what the final version of the legislation will look like. Floor debate and amendments are expected later this week, with votes on the bill also potentially taking place within the next few days.

"This week's vote can be the beginning of the next great chapter for the American Worker," Trump said.

Stephen Moore Talks Tax Reform

Stephen Moore was the guest today to talk everyone through the tax reform bill. He started off by saying, is it a great bill? No, but it’s a good bill. The economy is growing at 3.3% and if the tax bill passes, Moore thinks the economy could increase by almost 4%.

Moore believes the latest that the Senate will vote on this bill is Friday or Saturday of this week. Republicans need to get to that magic number of 50, which looks possible after today, but anything could happen. Moore says he thinks there’s a 75% chance that this bill passes in the Senate.

Moore says he is ashamed of the Democrats because not a single Democrat in the House of Representatives voted for the tax reform bill, which would mean a tax cut for the American people and American businesses.

The main purpose of this tax plan is to grow the economy. If it doesn’t work, you can always go back and change it, but Moore says to give it a chance.

CNN Boycotts the White House Christmas Party

On Tuesday, CNN announced that the network will be boycotting the White House Christmas party. The event is scheduled for Friday at 2pm ET.

The White House Christmas Party is an occasion for reporters and other members of the media to mingle with members of the administration.

In a statement from CNN, they said, “In light of the President’s continued attacks on freedom of the press and CNN, we do not feel it is appropriate to celebrate with him as invited guests. We will send a White House reporting team to the event and report on it if news warrants.”

Wednesday morning Trump tweeted: “Great, and we should boycott Fake News CNN. Dealing with them is a total waste of time!”

White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, also replied by tweeting, “Christmas comes early! Finally, good news from @CNN.”

Stephen Moore also weighed in on CNN’s decision not to attend the White House Christmas party. Moore is a contributor at CNN and he says the network has become the anti-Trump network. They are biased against conservatives.

Bill responded to Moore’s point saying that it’s interesting that when Obama was president, he took shots at FOX News Channel, but Bill and other FOX News staffers still attended the Christmas party. Bill says it seems to be a little petulant that CNN won’t go just because Trump gives CNN grief.

No Media Coverage of the BLM Black Xmas

Black Lives Matter is calling for a boycott of White businesses. This is blatantly racist. You’re asking people not to buy gifts from people of a certain color.

As outrageous as this story is, not one media outlet reported it. They didn’t cover it because they’re afraid. The far-left loons have intimidated the press.

Los Angeles-based Dr. Melina Abdullah, a Black Lives Matter leader and a professor at California State University, is calling for black Christmas shoppers to spend their money at black-owned businesses in order to divest from “white corporations” and “white capitalism” at large.

Abdullah is specifically saying that the effort is aimed at ridding the nation of the, “state-sanctioned violence, that is often found in white-supremacist capitalism.”

#BlackXMas is being portrayed as a way to resist Donald Trump.

In addition to shopping black, the group is asking that everyone change their social media profile pictures to the #BlackXmas graphic until Jan. 1, 2018.

Archdiocese sues D.C. Metro over rejected Christmas ads

On Tuesday, the Archdiocese of Washington filed a legal action in federal court against the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) after it refused to run ads for the archdiocese’s annual “Find the Perfect Gift” Christmas initiative on D.C. public buses.

The ad says, "Find the perfect gift,” and that's all it says. Then, it directs you to a website. Findtheperfectgift.org. The ad is mainly black and white, some of the text is yellow and it shows a picture of 3 shepherds & their sheep against a starry background. The ad does not feature any religious wording. That's it, that's the ad.

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority won't take the ad. They say, no, we're not going to let "Find the perfect gift" be advertised on our trains and buses because it's a religious ad. It's not a religious ad. It's directing people to a website. It doesn't say anything about being Catholic or Jesus or Mary or Joseph or the wise man or anything. Nothing. Just a nice little winter scene.

This isn’t freedom, this is oppressive. If you can’t advertise your website in a public place then that’s violating freedom of speech and freedom of religion, because Catholics were paying for the ad.

Will you see this story covered anywhere else? No.
