O'Reilly on Trump's Declining Poll Numbers; Healthcare Delay
July 17, 2017

In this action-packed edition of the No Spin News, the always perspicacious Bill O’Reilly breaks down a new poll with President’s Trump’s approval rating; provides the latest on the effort to repeal Obamacare; and opines on some eye-brow raising news from three major celebrities

New Trump Approval Rating Poll

A brand-new Washington Post-ABC News poll says just 36% of Americans approve of Donald Trump’s performance as president, with 58% disapproving. The poll also shows that just 27% believe America has gotten stronger under President Trump, compared to 48% who say the country is now weaker.

Bill says he isn’t surprised with the low numbers given the daily beating that Mr. Trump takes from the press, and that all the hysteria about the Russia investigation will simply go away if President Trump didn’t do anything wrong.

Bill says for President Trump to turn things around, he needs to have a string of victories, most notably to pass legislation to gets rid of Obamacare.

“When you’re bashed every single day, that takes a toll on public perception,” Bill says. “So he needs a couple of wins, healthcare being the first of that.”

Coverage of President Trump versus Hillary Clinton

Bill next noted that the media coverage of Donald Trump, Jr.’s meeting in June 2016 with some Russians claiming to have negative information about Hillary Clinton was finally dying down.

The reason? There’s no evidence a crime occurred.

“The law was written to prevent bribes, not information flow,” Bill says.

Bill then opines about the unfairness of the media hysteria over Mr. Trump’s relationship with Russia, compared to the more favorable media treatment Hillary Clinton received despite the Benghazi and email scandals.

“Yeah, it was covered, particularly by the conservative media, and yeah there was a lot of innuendo and a lot of accusations about Hillary Clinton, there was, “ Bill says. “But there wasn’t anything like [the media’s coverage of Trump], nothing, nothing like this.”

Bill says the anti-Trump media is trying to use the Russian scandal to get the president out of office.

Updates on the Obamacare Repeal Effort

Bill next reports that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) will hold no votes on healthcare legislation until John McCain returns from surgery to remove a blood clot above his left eye.

Senators Rand Paul (R-KY) and Susan Collins (R-ME) have already announced their opposition to the current GOP healthcare bill. Thus, Republicans – who hold a 52-48 majority in the Senate -- can afford no other defections or absences if they want to repeal Obamacare.

Bill says Rand Paul opposes the Bill because of his libertarian vision for the country, a vision that has very little chance of coming to fruition in the near future.

As for Sen. Collins, Bill says she’s against the Republican bill because it cuts funding for Planned Parenthood.

But Bill says regardless of the reasons for the opposition, it is essential for President Trump to get healthcare legislation passed.

“If the Republicans fail in getting Obamacare out of there, the whole things going to turn around, Trump’s approval rating will go down to 30,” Bill says.

Major News for O.J. Simpson, Kid Rock and Caitlyn Jenner

In 2008, O.J. Simpson was found guilty and sentenced to 33 years in prison for robbing two sports memorabilia dealers at gunpoint in a Las Vegas hotel room. But he may be released this year after only nine years of incarceration depending on the results of his July 20 parole hearing.

Bill predicts that Simpson will be released this year, but Bill says he does believe that Mr. Simpson in 1995 murdered his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. Bill says he believes the racial tensions in Los Angeles led to O.J.’s acquittal for murder after the “trial of the century.”

Bill next discusses the reports that both Kid Rock and Caitlyn Jenner are considering running for Senate in Michigan and California, respectively.

Bill says he’d vote for Kid Rock, but that he doesn’t know Ms. Jenner well and plans to invite her on the podcast soon.

Premium Member Emails

Bill then responds to emails from Premium Members.

Among the highlights, Bill says he owns about 20 Polo shirts and 80 suits, and says the best way to fight back against secretive and destructive left-wing activist campaigns is to expose them to the public.
