Trump to Sessions: Stop Mueller Probe 'Right Now'

President Trump called Wednesday for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to end Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation “right now,” alleging bias on the investigative team and complaining about the trial of his former campaign chairman.

“This is a terrible situation and Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now, before it continues to stain our country any further,” Trump tweeted. “Bob Mueller is totally conflicted, and his 17 Angry Democrats that are doing his dirty work are a disgrace to USA!”

Sessions has long been the target of Trump's ire over his decision to recuse himself from the Russia investigation, but the president has seldom suggested publicly that his attorney general should halt the probe.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the former Alabama senator who served as a top Trump campaign adviser, recused himself in March 2017 from the Russia probe after it was revealed he failed to disclose a conversation he had with Russia's U.S. ambassador during the 2016 race.

In May 2018, Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani told reporters that Trump wouldn’t fire Sessions before the Mueller probe was over.

“There’s no doubt he’s [Trump] complained about him, there’s no doubt he [Trump] has some grievances,” Giuliani said. “He’s not going to fire him [Sessions] before this is over. … Nor do I think he should.” After the investigation concludes, Sessions and others might want to leave of their own volition, Giuliani said.

Poll: Majority of Americans Say FBI Showed Bias in Trump, Clinton Probes

A majority of Americans believe the FBI exhibited political bias in its handling of its high-profile investigations involving President Trump and his 2016 Democratic presidential rival Hillary Clinton, according to a new poll.

The poll shows that 62% of Americans believe that the FBI was biased in its handling of the high-profile investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she served as secretary of State. 38% believed that bias favored Clinton, while 24% thought the bias hurt her.

59% said they believed the FBI also suffered from bias in the Trump probe. 38% said they believed the FBI had been biased against Trump, and 21% said it had worked in the president’s favor.

What this poll shows is that most Americans know that this investigation is tainted.

Chicago Activists Call on Emanuel to Resign Ahead of Massive Anti-Violence Protest

Activists in Chicago who are demanding the resignation of Mayor Rahm Emanuel are planning a large march in the area of Wrigley Field in protest to the city's gun violence epidemic.

The protests aim to draw attention to the pain and agony of no economic development on the South and West sides of Chicago.

This march is also calling for Mayor Rahm Emanuel and police Superintendent Eddie Johnson to resign. The protestors are hoping that by marching to Wrigley Field, they will succeed in getting Mayor Emanuel and police Superintendent Johnson removed from the game.

Activists issued a strong rebuke to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel Monday, doubling down on plans to shut down Lake Shore Drive on Chicago’s North Side during a protest Thursday afternoon.

The protest on Thursday afternoon is expected to bring traffic to a standstill as the city prepares for a Cubs game and the start of a popular Lollapalooza music festival. Rev. Livingston, one of the activists planning the march, said he expects arrests at the march and did not rule out marchers attempting to force their way into Wrigley Field.

The group planned to meet near Belmont and Lake Shore Drive and march toward Wrigley Field where a 7:00PM Cubs game is scheduled there.

Mexico’s Murder Rate Hits Highest Level in Decades

Mexico saw its most killings in decades in 2017, with a record number of victims and a new high for the country's homicide rate.

According to newly released data from a Mexican government agency, Mexico had 29,168 homicides in 2017, out of a population of approximately 125 million people. There is evidence the Mexican government has manipulated homicide numbers in the past, suggesting the total number could be higher. The frequent use of firearms accounted for more than 21,000 homicides last year.

U.S. Therapists See Increase in Patients With 'Trump Anxiety Disorder'

Therapists say there's been a rise in anxiety stemming from the country's politics, and it is being called “Trump Anxiety Disorder.”

A report from CBC News in Canada says that since President Trump was elected, mental health professionals in the United States have seen an increase in patients whose stress has come from politics.

A prevalent "symptom" of the "disorder" is feeling as though the world is going to end. Elisabeth LaMotte, founder of the D.C. Counseling and Psychotherapy Center in Washington, D.C., said that some of her patients feel "on edge" about Trump's decisions. LaMotte continued to explain that even those who support the president feel isolated within social spaces or their families.

According to an essay written by psychologist Jennifer Panning, the symptoms of "Trump Anxiety Disorder" include "feeling a loss of control and helplessness and fretting about what's happening in the country and spending excessive time on social media."

A new poll released by the American Psychological Association shows more Americans reporting symptoms of stress and citing personal safety and terrorism as sources of stress. The poll found that 57% of Americans say the current political climate is a very or somewhat significant source of stress.

49% say the outcome of the election is very or somewhat significant source of stress. 72% of Democrats reported the outcome of the 2016 presidential election was a significant source of stress and 26% of Republicans reported the outcome of the 2016 presidential election was a significant source of stress.
