O'Reilly on Climate Change & Miller's Return
June 1, 2017

Thursday's No Spin News began, of course, with Bill's take on President Trump's major announcement that the USA will be pulling out from the Paris climate agreement.  "President Trump believes," Bill stated, "that the Paris accord doesn't do anything because the big polluters like India and China don't have to do anything while it costs the United States a fortune.  The green movement says the United States doesn't take this seriously enough and the planet is therefore going to hell.  It's a very emotional issue."

President Trump worries that the United States, if it stays in the accord, will lose millions of jobs and trillions of dollars.  Bill predicted that the non-Fox cable networks will spend the next few days hammering Trump, portraying the president as an enemy of the environment and earth itself.  Let the gnashing of teeth begin.

Turning to Washington politics, the House Intelligence Committee is accelerating its probe into Obama officials who may have unlawfully "unmasked" U.S. citizens.  Subpoenas have been issued to former Obama foreign policy aides John Brennan, Susan Rice, and Samantha Power.  Meanwhile, many people in the capital are eagerly – maybe nervously – awaiting next week's testimony by former FBI boss James Comey.

In another major story, Planned Parenthood's annual report shows that it was responsible for 329,000 abortions last year, while only about 3,000 newborns were adopted.  That is an outrageous 100 – 1 ratio.  And speaking of social problems, homelessness in Los Angeles is up by 23% in just a single year, primarily because of opioid abuse.  It is a massive problem that few people are willing to confront honestly.

Bill lamented the disturbing news that LeBron James' home was defaced by a loon who scrawled a racial epithet on his home.  James, a student of history and always gracious, compared the incident to the murder of 14-year-old Emmett Till in 1955.  Bill opined that while "it is harder to be black than white in America," one disturbed goofball with a can of spray paint should not make anyone forget the great racial progress our nation has made.

Bill then introduced a brief snippet from his 15-minute conversation with the inimitable Dennis Miller, who called in from his palatial estate on the West Coast.  The D-Man was in a forgiving mood when it came to his fellow comic Kathy Griffin, saying that "she overstepped the boundaries."  He added that Griffin will undoubtedly regret her actions forever.  As for Trump's bidding adieu to the Paris accord, Miller cited the late author Michael Crichton, who argued that man does not play a large role in global warming.  "I remember years ago," Miller recalled, "when I was in Las Vegas and there was a global warming conference and every private jet west of the Mississippi was there.  That stuck in my head, I don't think they take it as seriously as they act."

The unabridged, unexpunged, unredacted, and unadulterated 15-minute conversation with Miller will be here on the website and available to everyone on Friday, so log in and catch the entertaining back and forth in its entirety.

Thursday's NSN concluded, as always, with comments and questions from BillOReilly.com Premium Members, some of whom opined on the Kathy Griffin incident and CNN's decision to throw her overboard.

Again, Bill's entire conversation with Dennis Miller will be available Friday and all weekend, so log in, sit back, and enjoy.
