As an inexperienced commander, George Washington struggles with the challenges of building a military force from untested colonial militia and limited supplies. Meanwhile, the British Army sits just across the bay in Boston. Though thoroughly outmatched, Washington executes an ingenious bluff, leading to a British retreat and the Continental Army's first victory. Bolstered by his success, the Commander marches to New York, unaware that members of his own personal guard are secretly plotting to kill him.
