Four American Olympic swimmers apparently lied when they claimed they were robbed at gunpoint in Rio de Janeiro. The Factor asked Bernie Goldberg to weigh in. "This is the most interesting story to come out of the Olympics," he said, "because the rest of it is boring. It may be that these athletes were covering up for something they should not have been doing, such as drinking late at night. Brazil has enough bad PR about crime and if these guys are lying I'm glad they found out about it." Goldberg also denounced the mainstream media for generally ignoring the fact that Israel-hater George Soros has contributed millions of dollars to support Hillary Clinton. "Let's say a major financial backer of Donald Trump also supported groups that tried to delegitimize Israel," Goldberg surmised. "That would be a page one story in the New York Times." The Factor concluded, "This proves that the American media is dishonest and deeply in the tank for liberal causes."
