AFGHANISTAN SPEECH
Americans react to President Obama's speech about a troop increase in Afghanistan.

"Like you, I was disappointed by President Obama's speech to the West Point cadets. Instead of being upbeat and encouraging, he was boring. What a waste of time!"
Norma Adams
Tucson, AZ

"I wonder how many new jobs the administration is creating by sending 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan."
Steve Coogler
Greer, SC

"Not only was Mr. Obama's speech one of the uninspiring wartime speeches I have ever heard, he didn't use the word 'victory' once."
Loretta Sochor
Antioch, CA

"You're right -- that speech won't rally the world behind us. He couldn't even keep the West Point cadets awake."
Jeff Cunningham
Bellevue, WA

"Since the terrorists now know when we'll be leaving Afghanistan, have we not just handed them the map and legend for retaking the country?"
Paul Barbehenn
Macungie, PA

"Are we at war? Did Churchill and FDR announce to the world how many troops were set to land at Normandy?"
Bill Knight
Lake Geneva, WI

"Obama's speech on Afghanistan sounded like papers I wrote in high school. I used important words to sound smart, but I didn't really understand the topic."
Matt Chapdelaine
Chicago, IL

"Why is that every time President Obama gives a speech, he sounds like he's still campaigning? He's the Commander-in-Chief, not a candidate."
Earl Sessions
Tiffin, OH

"Less than five minutes into the President's speech, he lost my support. No longer listening."
Mell Haislet
McAlester, OK

"He may have sounded like an academic, but he's sending in more troops to win the war on terrorism, to protect Americans and our families. It can't be exciting to send our men and women into harm's way."
Alison Rausch
Alexandria, VA

"Finally, an Obama speech that sounds more presidential than political!"
Michael Weldon
Udon Thani, Thailand

"As a retired member of the US Army, I find it incredible that I agree with Rep. Kucinich. I don't think we should send any more troops to Afghanistan."
Richard Palmedo
Anniston, AL

"Dennis Kucinich wants to nation build here at home? How does he plan on protecting us?"
Curtis Lee Robinson
Kalkaska, MI

"I'm watching the Factor and left wondering: Who actually voted for Dennis Kucinich?"
Daniel Meredith
Eagle Mountain, UT

"With all due respect to Mr. Kucinich, I think going into debt to further our safety is worth the effort. I think he'd be pushing for a fight if the terrorists attacked his home town."
Brian Spittle
Midlothian, VA

"Congressman Kucinich is only able to put a price tag on our current war. Well, what is the price of freedom?"
Wayne Springer
Afton, OK

"Dennis Kucinich is wrong. Counter-terrorism alone won't work because for every terrorist we kill, we create ten more."
Mike Landree
Fredericksburg, VA

"Negotiate with the Taliban? Next time, ask Kucinich if we negotiated with the Nazis."
John Daniel
Chicago, IL

TIGER TROUBLES
The fallout continues over golfer Tiger Woods' personal problems.

"Tiger Woods is a spoiled rich kid who thinks he's above the law."
Patty Hardin
Long Beach, WA

"Tiger Woods is more embarrassed that his wife is better with a one-iron than he is. That's why he's not saying anything."
Oliver Iles
White Plains, NY

"Tiger Woods is well within is right to keep quiet. Having a God-given talent doesn't give people the right to go after his private life."
Alex Miguel
Reseda, CA

"I wonder how much Woods had to pay his wife to keep quiet and Florida officials to stop pursuing criminal charges."
Phyllis Carson
Baltimore, MD

"I'm a Tiger fan, and I think his wife needs to be investigated for domestic violence. What say you?"
Gary Hardcastle
Menifee, CA

"Tiger Woods can drive a golf ball better than anyone on the planet. But driving a car? Not so much."
Roger Rossi
Port St. Lucie, FL

"Tiger Woods demonstrated gross irresponsibility by having apparently unregistered golf clubs lying around the house within easy reach of his wife. They clearly should have been locked up in a golf club cabinet."
Matt Nally
Lancaster, CA
