Product Description
Don't miss an exclusive audio sneak peek of Bill's memoir, "A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity!"

In 1957, in the heart of the Eisenhower years, in the third grade classroom of Sister Mary Lurana in Saint Brigid's parochial school in Westbury, Long Island, was a mouthy, obstreperous kid by the name of William O'Reilly. Quite a handful he was, and so one day Sister Lurana bent over him in exasperation in response to some piece of mischief and told him to his face, "William, you are a bold fresh piece of humanity." Little did she know that she was, early in his career as a troublemaker, defining the essence of Bill O'Reilly and providing him with the title of his brash and entertaining issues-based memoir.

In his most intimate book yet, O'Reilly goes back in time to examine the people, places, and experiences that launched him on his journey from being a working-class kid to an immensely influential television personality and bestselling author. Readers will learn how his traditional outlook was formed in the crucible of his family, his neighborhood, his church, and his schools, and how his views on America's proper role in the world emerged from covering four wars on five continents over three-plus decades as a news correspondent. What will delight his many fans and surprise many others is the humor and self-deprecation with which he handles one of his core subjects: himself, and just how O'Reilly became O'Reilly.

I enjoyed A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity - Bill grew up during the same years span I did. I found his observances and the development of his views over time right on! I too have viewed the world in much the same way from those years and the experiences of my life. Thank you to Bill - great book!!!

I laughed so hard I cried! Bill was certainly a precocious little boy who reminded me so much of my two little imps growing up. I ordered this book after finishing Pinheads and Patriots, which I'd gotten for Christmas, in March and just had to find out more about him. (It didn't actually take until March to finish reading it, but I had to read two books on Notre Dame football first.) Both books only took a few days to finish as they are very entertaining and well-written.

The book was GREAT! I really enjoyed it. And, I also have enjoyed and appreciated the two tote bags which were included with the book. They are GREAT also. The package was packaged very professionally and arrived very quickly. Thanks so much for this great book and two tote bags.

This was well worth the price. When i started reading it, I was sitting in a doctor's office waiting room. Some of the stories were like "Kodak moments" from my childhood in school. I was laughing out loud and people were staring at me. I showed the front of the book and most just smiled. The doctor even asked where I got the book. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be royally entertained.
