The Aftermath of Email-Gate
Guests:Tom Bevan & Bob Cusack
"It was quite a press conference yesterday, with Hillary Clinton attempting to explain why she deleted thousands of emails during her tenure as secretary of state. As you may know, Mrs. Clinton is refusing to give access to her home server where those deleted emails are stored. Reaction is fairly predictable, with Democrats trying to save Mrs. Clinton. The email business comes down to whether or not Hillary Clinton will be elected president in 2016. Yes, partisans on the left will vote for her no matter what. But there are millions of Americans in the middle and the perception is that Hillary Clinton is not a stand up person. She does not put forth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It is true that Mrs. Clinton has at times been unfairly treated, but overall she has been the beneficiary of soft treatment by the media. However, that is beginning to change. The email situation has embarrassed the press, which largely supported her in the past. It is safe to assume that Mrs. Clinton will not get the same treatment as Barack Obama, whom the press continues to idolize. Therefore, her road to the White House will be more difficult."

The Factor evaluated the fallout from the email situation with political reporters Tom Bevan and Bob Cusack. "I think she has sustained significant damage," Cusack asserted, "and some aspects of the left, including liberal columnists, have gone after her because the media hates secrecy. I don't think this will hurt her for the nomination, but it will for the general election because members of her own team have gone after her. This will be a story for weeks, if not months." Bevan agreed that Clinton's path to the nomination is still fairly clear. "I don't think this is terminal for her nomination prospects, but it is a reminder of the drama surrounding the Clintons. This is their playbook - you ignore something until you have to address it, then you hunker down and re-emerge and say this is old news. The question will be whether or not the press accepts that this time." The Factor concurred that Hillary Clinton could pay a price in the general election: "All of this goes to honesty, and if the Republicans come out of the gate with a fresh air candidate, it could be a contrast between honesty and the Clintons."
What Did President Obama Know?
Guest:Ed Henry
The Factor asked White House correspondent Ed Henry about the administration's response to the Hillary Clinton emails. "President Obama was aware that she was using a private email," Henry said, "but the White House says he was not aware that she had this server at her home. Someone in the White House should have been in the loop. The administration has been transparent in some ways, but not in others." The Factor contended that President Obama could easily clear the air: "The administration doesn't seem to be very concerned about this, but President Obama has the authority to have the FBI go in there and look at her server. Didn't he say he wanted the most transparent administration in history?"
New ISIS Atrocity
Guests:Andrea Tantaros & Jessica Ehrlich
The savages of ISIS have released a video showing a 12-year-old boy executing a hostage. Conservative Andrea Tantaros and liberal Jessica Ehrlich reacted to the latest outrage. "President Obama has admitted that there is no strategy to defeat ISIS," Tantaros groused. "The new war in Iraq war is Obama's war and the war in Afghanistan is Obama's war, and I think he's relying on Iran to fight ISIS." But Ehrlich insisted that the Obama administration has a plausible strategy. "They're asking Congress to give them authority so that the Department of Defense and the State Department can have a wider range of options. Things are bad, but they're trying to address it." The Factor bemoaned the fact that "every day we are seeing women being raped and forced into marriages, Christians being murdered."
Rudy Weighs In
Guest:Rudy Giuliani
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a vocal and consistent foe of the Obama administration, entered the No Spin Zone with his thoughts on ISIS. "The strategy has become that Iran is going to defeat ISIS," he theorized, "and then we have a northern against a southern Middle East. I just met with people from the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, and they are all tremendously frustrated with us. They say we are just watching and playing a backup role." Giuliani also weighed in on the Hillary Clinton email brouhaha. "I don't understand what she's doing. She destroyed 30,000 emails! This information belongs to the government and I think she's going to have a real problem. We have to see those emails. Also, what did she accomplish as secretary of state? Everything in the world is worse now than when she took over."
The D-Man on 2016
Guest:Dennis Miller
The Factor also asked Dennis Miller to opine on Hillary Clinton's email dustup. "My favorite part is her 30,000 emails about yoga," Miller joked. "Hillary's practicing yoga, and that looks like it's working out well. The only yoga Hillary Clinton practices is contorting the truth, and she is splendiferously, perfectly full of it. But that's the new rubric in politics - now we vote for the person who is the most full of it. That was painful to watch yesterday, and I don't even care any more because they're all so full of it." Miller also weighed in on the much-anticipated Apple Watch. "Any time I can watch 'Gone With the Wind' on a screen the size of a Bazooka Joe comic, I'm a happy guy. I can't wait until next year when they come out with smart cufflinks."
Dangerous College Behavior
Guest:Martha MacCallum
A new report claims that almost half of college students have engaged in binge drinking. Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum analyzed the growing trend of outrageous behavior. "This is a tragic story," she began, "and more than 1,800 students die because of binge drinking every year. It's a hugely untold story what's happening on our college campuses. College counselors are seeing an uptick in depression and anxiety." McCallum also screened security camera footage showing rap tycoon Suge Knight running over and killing a man with his SUV. "Suge Knight was the CEO of Death Row records," she reported, "and he was a huge mogul. He spent five years in prison in the late 1990s and now he may go back to jail for life."

Factor Words of the Day
Stewart Jones, Philippines: "When I was in the Army, I had a secure email account. Hillary Clinton needs to be Bradley Manning's cell mate."

Missy Werle, Eagle Mountain, UT: "Hillary has lost my vote. I also don't want another Bush in the White House. There should be a limit on family presidential runs."

Dave Balukonis, Ayer, MA: "O'Reilly, watching you kowtow to Hillary Clinton was amazing. So you're okay with her using a non-government email system?"

Phillip Shumay, Cleveland, OH: "Bill, I see you've been drinking the Clinton Kool-Aid. Why would you trust the FBI to review Hillary's server?"
Avoid Those Clichés
It's not easy, but try to steer clear of annoying catch phrases such as "at the end of the day" and the now-ubiquitous question posed by TV anchors: "What do you make of that?"
