"After stocks dropped about 1,000 points Thursday in just a few minutes, President Obama has ordered an investigation. But don't expect any smoking gun - the market was manipulated, but the guys behind it are far too smart to get caught. Instead, millions of honest investors got hammered. Talking Points thinks the whole thing was contrived and that wise guys made billions as the market recovered. As for Greece, people are rioting because they don't want their benefits cut. Those loons don't care about their country, they want what they want! That's what socialism is all about - give me stuff at other peoples' expense. The USA will send Greece billions through the International Monetary Fund, which means our tax money is going to bail out those irresponsible people. Next on the list is Portugal, then it could be Italy - most of the great entitlement nations are on the rocks. Here in America, the federal government owes $13 trillion, but liberals want expanded health care and higher taxes, which will strangle the already shaky economy. President Obama is the leader of that crew, but Talking Points believes he will be a one-term president if he doesn't wise up fast. No country can afford the entitlement culture any more. We must work for what we get or what happened in Greece will happen here."
For another point of view, The Factor welcomed Professor Marc Lamont Hill. "Greece is such a bad example," Hill insisted. "Greece is in the state that it's in partly because of corrupt European bankers. People on both sides of the aisle agree that corporate corruption had a large part to do with what's going on in Greece. We're nowhere near where they are - Greece has been unable to grow its way out of debt, but the United States is able to do that." The Factor countered that we in the United States are inviting our own Greek tragedy: "Greece owes a half-trillion dollars and can't pay it back. We owe $13 trillion and can't pay it back. That's the bottom line." |

| CBS News correspondent Bob Orr is reporting that alleged Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad's financial problems may have led to his alienation. Conservative columnist Ann Coulter entered the No Spin Zone to skewer Orr and like-minded reporters. "You have to understand," Coulter quipped, "that they're working through their grief over the bomber not being a tea partier. The funny thing about these portrayals is that the more they describe him as completely normal, they are unintentionally leaving us with one conclusion - the one thing that sets him apart from the rest of us is that he is a Muslim. It's the one thing that sets this guy apart, that sets the Army doctor apart, that sets the subway bomber apart, that sets the diaper bomber apart. What do they all have in common? They're all Muslims. Liberals have an instinct to root for barbarians against civilization." The Factor also condemned Orr's portrayal of Shahzad: "I don't know why a journalist would want to make a guy like this sympathetic. If the bomb had gone off, innocent men, women, and children would have been killed." |

| As The Factor reported previously, five California high school students were sent home Wednesday - Cinco de Mayo - for wearing American flag images on their shirts and bandanas. Two of the boys' parents entered the No Spin Zone and defended their sons. "We kept them home from school today," Christine Carvalho lamented, "because the frenzy has taken hold and we're fearful for our kids' safety. They supported the Cinco de Mayo kids, but said we should be able to wear our colors as well." Julie Fagerstrom portrayed her son as a patriotic and respectful young man. "My son is half Hispanic and he was just displaying his American pride. These are all-American boys, these are great kids and they wear this attire all the time. This is absolutely heartbreaking." |

| Former New York Giants defensive star Lawrence Taylor is under arrest for having sex with a 16-year-old prostitute. The Factor asked Geraldo Rivera to elaborate on the story. "Lawrence Taylor has degenerated into a drug-addled pervert," Rivera declared. "He came to New York and called an old buddy and asked to be hooked up with a prostitute. A pimp from the Bronx took a 16-year-old girl to Taylor in a motel. The only defense in statutory rape is that you didn't have sex, but I have heard that they have found a used condom and it's only a matter of time for Lawrence Taylor. He should get the best possible deal he can and get into rehab because he's going to lose this case." Rivera turned to University of Virginia lacrosse player George Huguely, who allegedly beat and murdered his former girlfriend Yeardley Love. "This is a classic case of why you should never envy anybody. These were seniors at Virginia, a beautiful couple, both wealthy and privileged and well-connected. But at its soul this is a run-of-the-mill domestic murder." |

| The Factor asked FNC's Glenn Beck, a staunch supporter of Arizona's tough immigration law, whether millions of illegal immigrants should be deported. "It doesn't seem reasonable," Beck responded, "that we can take 12-million people and bus them out. I'm not going to round anybody up unless they've done something criminal, but I am going to round up all those companies who are hiring illegal immigrants. We should be sealing the border off and stopping all this nonsense." Beck also described his recent encounter with Time's Joe Klein, who had accused Beck of being "seditious." "He came up to me and he had a step ladder - he's about three feet tall. I didn't know who he was, but he got his finger in my face and was complaining that I make stuff up. It was really bad." |

| As is their Friday custom, FNC's Greg Gutfeld and Juliet Huddy picked the most moronic people and events of the past week. Huddy singled out Saturday Night Live alum Dan Aykroyd. "He went on Larry King's show," Huddy reported, "and said he's an absolute believer in UFOs. He's totally serious and he's into it. He wasn't acting!" Gutfeld named the Spanish researchers who studied how men react to beautiful women. "They found that men's stress hormones go up to high levels. This is absolutely earth-shaking material!" |
