Wednesday: Trump Rally in Ohio
Hacking Colin Powell and the Presidential Vote
"Hackers have embarrassed General Colin Powell by accessing his emails and printing them so that everyone can see his public correspondence. The lesson for all of us - there is no privacy in this world. Speaking about Donald Trump in an email, Powell said this: 'There is nothing he can say that will sway black voters ... the whole birther movement was racist.' That should come as no surprise as Colin Powell was never a fan of Donald Trump. But he also wrote this about Hillary Clinton and her claim that he handled emails the same way she did: 'I told her staff three times not to try that gambit. I had to throw a mini-tantrum at a Hampton's party to get their attention.' General Powell also said, 'Hillary's mafia keeps trying to suck me into it.' If a guy like Colin Powell can be hacked, anyone can be. Hacking aside, Donald Trump seems to be gaining in the race right now. While mid-September polls are interesting, the first debate is likely to change things. Summing up, there is no privacy on the planet, Colin Powell is embarrassed, and the presidential race is very tight."

The Factor pursued the dangers of hacking with former Bush aide Karl Rove. "There are things you can do to protect against this," Rove said, "but in this world you should have no expectation of privacy. Technology exists that allows people to intrude into anyone's private life." Rove turned to the latest polls that show a tightening presidential race. "Donald Trump is gaining momentum according to the polls. But don't look at rallies and make any conclusions, people like to go and see presidential candidates." The Factor concluded with a warning about hacking, saying, "This is a chilling time and technology is overwhelming privacy."
Trump Rally in Ohio
The Factor tossed live to a Donald Trump rally in Canton, Ohio, a state he desperately needs to win. Trump assured the crowd that he is surging nationally and especially in the Buckeye State. "States are in play," he declared, "that no Republican has ever come close to winning for many decades. I think we are going to have an unbelievable November 8th!" The Republican candidate denounced Democrats for the conditions in many inner cities and he took a shot at President Obama, asking, "Why isn't he working instead of campaigning for 'crooked Hillary?'" Back in the studio, The Factor reported, "We are still waiting for Hillary Clinton to consent to an interview, we hope to see her here soon."
Trump's New Child Care Plan
Donald Trump has unveiled a child care plan that sounds like it could have been designed by a liberal Democrat, with family leave and other generous provisions. Monica Crowley and Eboni Williams opined on the proposed entitlement. "This was a very politically savvy speech," Crowley gushed, "and there was no coincidence that he gave it in Philadelphia. He needs suburban women voters to at least give him a second chance. But as a conservative I am totally opposed to this, the Constitution doesn't give the government authority to create a new child care entitlement." Williams also gave the speech and the plan mixed reviews. "He is uniquely positioned as a Republican nominee because he is not beholden to the old guard conservatives. This is great politics, but it could be disastrous for women because it is exclusively offering maternity lead. It could look to some businesses like a tax on hiring women."
Luntz on the Best Campaign Ads
Pollster Frank Luntz convened his Ohio focus group to search for the best TV commercials of the current campaign. One was a Clinton ad featuring prominent Republicans criticizing Donald Trump. "People thought this was credible," he said, "because it had Republicans speaking ill of Donald Trump. This ad stands out because it is exactly what our focus groups say are their concerns with Trump." On the other side, the most effective Trump ad denounced Hillary Clinton on immigration. "This is about national security," Luntz said, "and Americans have told us that they are afraid, that the last eight years have made America less secure." Luntz also predicted that Donald Trump's recent surge will continue, mainly because many Americans are turning against Hillary Clinton. "They don't like her insults, they don't think she told the truth about her health, and it brings up issues about her integrity. She is becoming less acceptable."
Miller on Hillary's Health
The Factor welcomed Dennis Miller and demanded that he present his full, complete, and unadulterated medical history. "I have what is called 'bovinial globus hystericus,'" Miller confessed, "which is the inability to swallow other people's b.s. I don't even think of Hillary Clinton as a human being any more, she's like a vehicle for her minions to assuage the guilt they feel about her lying by telling themselves they are saving the world. She is suffering from a severe case of karma, and the best thing is that her deductible will be prohibitive under ObamaCare. This woman coughs more than Bob Marley getting a hernia test on Mount Everest. They should keep her in bed for the next four months, she plays better when she's out of sight!"
Media Bias in Bill Clinton Interview?
CBS News has taken heat for editing out the word "frequently" when Bill Clinton spoke about his wife's dizzy spells. FNC anchor Martha MacCallum scrutinized the controversy. "They say they made an edit to save time," she reported, "but it only saved 1.9 seconds. Also, he corrected himself and changed what he said from 'frequently' to 'rarely.' That may have been an honest mistake on his part." The Factor speculated, "I think that after President Clinton made that verbal mistake he asked them to change it, but I'm not ascribing sinister motives to this."

Factor Words of the Day
Joe Couto, Fresno, CA: "The statement that some conservatives in Congress will not like Trump's childcare policy is ridiculous. They supported everything Obama put in front of them."

KW Anderson, Ada, OK: "Bill, you said Trump did not say how he would pay for the new benefits. But he did - by cleaning up waste and fraud in federal programs."

Suzanne Haskell, Rapid City, SD: "Entitlement? I guess it is. But American workers and their families are entitled to catch a break for a change."
Confronting America-Haters
America is a nation that has freed hundreds of millions of people around the world, something you might bring up next time you see someone disrespecting our flag and our National Anthem.
