In Chicago, an activist preacher is demanding that the city remove the names of George Washington and Andrew Jackson from public parks in predominantly black neighborhoods.

This because both Presidents held slaves.

I predicted this would happen while launching my book “Killing England.”  My thinking was that racial politics are now so intense that anyone who made a mistake in the past would be subject to contemporary punishment.

Of course, when evaluating historical figures positive achievement must be a major factor if a fair conclusion is to be drawn. The word “fair”, however, is not really a concern when it comes to ideological zealots.

There are a number of Americans who believe this country oppresses minorities and always has. They see the USA as largely villainous even while taking advantage of the many rights and opportunities the country provides.

It is clear to anyone paying attention that all this “white supremacy” stuff is designed to trigger hatred toward the establishment and send a message that black Americans, in particular, are consistently abused.  If the “Father of Our Country” was racist, then the whole enterprise is corrupt.  That’s the message.

If you oppose that virulent point-of-view, you yourself risk being branded a racist by dishonest fanatics who want to restructure the country. All in all, a deplorable situation.

Tonight on the No Spin News, we will analyze the attacks on American tradition that are growing stronger. We’ll also have a very moving interview about the true meaning of Memorial Day.

It all starts at 7 eastern time. Hope to see you then.
