L.A. Story

In Los Angeles, I took a power walk around the Westwood neighborhood adjacent to UCLA.  Not too long ago, this was a very nice place to be.  No longer.

Many shops are closed, windows smashed.  Drug addicts loiter all over the place.  The local CVS has nearly all products locked in cabinets.  Employees told me they are under orders to allow shoplifting without comment.  If they try to interfere, they will be fired.

There is no police presence, none. Criminals roam freely.  It's a scenario straight out of the John Carpenter movie "Escape from LA."  Santa Monica, nearby, is a similar situation.

California voters are responsible.  Inexplicably, they support cowardice and insane woke policies.  The state is paying a heavy price.  UCLA is a shadow of what it once was.

Incredibly, the social devastation will not be confronted anytime soon as there is zero media and popular pressure to do so. Kamala Harris has a good chance to be California's next Governor.  As the cliche goes, Good luck with that.

The weather is great here, and the state is beautiful from top to bottom.  But far-left governance has absolutely ruined Westwood and many other once-idyllic Californian places.

Ancient Rome wasn't built in a day, nor did it fall in a day.  But the city did collapse.  As has Los Angeles and its soul mate to the north, San Francisco.  All Americans should digest the travesty.

The No Spin News will return Monday, January 6.  Happy New Year.
