In a press briefing, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr put forth that the ICE agent who shot and killed Renee Good in Minneapolis committed “murder.”
Now ordinarily, I don’t pay much attention to ill-informed opinions because there are so many of them you’d collapse mentally trying to process all the bilge.
But Mr. Kerr’s denial of due process is actually dangerous because so many Americans have little idea that everyone in this country is presumed innocent until found guilty by a jury of their peers.
Apparently, old Steve doesn’t know that or doesn’t care. That puts him in the hyper-pinhead category.
Steve Kerr is what I call a virtue-signaler. He plays to his ideological base in San Francisco. The problem is that he has influence among some younger Americans, including players on his team.
And he is leading them to a dark place.
If due process is not respected in the USA, we are on our way to anarchy and witch-hunting. I’m sure Steve Kerr has not read my book “Killing the Witches,” but he might wise up if he did.
However, wise is not a word I would associate with the coach. Ideologue is a better description.
See you this evening for the No Spin News.
