ABC is asking its viewers to petition the Federal Communications Commission not to audit the network. Apparently, Disney, which owns ABC, is a bit worried that the Trump administration might wind up sanctioning the operation.
The problem here is The View, Jimmy Kimmel, and World News Tonight. President Trump is not happy with Disney using its media power to harm him. Understandable. It would be easy for ABC to moderate its approach. When I went on The View years ago, Barbara Walters was in charge. The ladies were mostly liberal but not hateful. Obviously, that has changed, and Disney signed off on it.
Mr. Kimmel has also migrated left and almost exclusively spouts a progressive point of view. Jim is a funny guy, but the Trump loathing is sophomoric as well as meaningless. Every night, Jim? Give it a rest.
ABC’s signature news program, World News Tonight, has stacked its lineup with left-leaning journalists. Why?
It has to be what the Disney Board of Directors wants. Hollywood is a leftist culture zone, and that might be what’s going on.
Doesn’t really matter. The feds are now scrutinizing Disney. And its audience will not save them.
