Every day is Halloween in France. The country is broke because it pays entitlements to almost every citizen, free stuff. In addition, pensions are extravagant; the work week is short, eight weeks vacation.
And for all of that, many French people, as well as millions of Muslim immigrants, want more from Paris. And they’ll burn their country down to get it.
We are marching down the same road in America, and it’s shocking. The far left has amassed major power by taking over the Democratic Party. JFK, LBJ, and Jimmy Carter would be stunned. Socialism now rules their party? Incredible.

Senator Bernie Sanders must be delirious with joy. Old Bernie is actually a communist, believing the government should run the means of production and seize private property from the wealthy. New York Mayor Mamdani is Sanders’ puppy. Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez, his fellow traveler.
My question is: why are millions of Americans buying into El-Sayed, Talarico, and other far-left loons? Why is that happening?
Yes, it’s true the Republican Party lacks cohesion and passion. President Trump is carrying the GOP almost alone. But putting party politics aside, there is danger in the air from the radical movement.
America currently owes 40 trillion dollars, and Democrats will spend wildly if given the chance. About 50 percent of Americans receive some kind of entitlement. Bernie Sanders wants guaranteed jobs and salaries. The welfare state has arrived, and many Americans are overjoyed.
But like the French, the entitlements will never be enough, and the far left is stockpiling the torches. Once Americans get used to handouts, they will demand more of them. And with few immigration restraints, the American dollar will eventually collapse when we can’t pay our massive debt.
That’s what’s happening in France. Their debts can’t be paid, and the economy cannot support the giveaways. From the sidelines, Bernie Sanders and his ilk cheer. Communism is back, and it doesn’t take Paul Revere’s “Midnight Ride” to define it.
Just look around. There’s a bad moon rising.
