The Specter of Karl Marx
The Specter of Karl Marx

New polls show socialism is on the rise in the USA, up about 9 percent in the last decade.

In my estimation, about a quarter of the public supports the principles of Karl Marx. That’s a vast welfare state where the government seizes private property to fund massive entitlement programs like healthcare and housing.

Why?

Many Americans want free stuff. They don’t want to work. They don’t want to compete in the capitalist system.

When I was a younger man, my generation saw Communism as very bad.  Perhaps because Stalin and Mao broke records on which leader could kill the most people.  The USA was involved in a vicious Cold War trying to stop the crazy Reds from taking over the planet.

Ask a Gen Zer today about the Cold War, and you might get some rant about Donald Trump and Greenland.

Many young citizens are what I call “bubble people.” I write about that in my upcoming book “Confronting America.”

They simply don’t know about the dangerous teachings of Karl Marx, an ideology that has directly caused the deaths of 150 million people.
