The Ceremonial President

President Biden appeared on 60 Minutes to discuss the Hamas/Israel war, and in the set up to the interview, CBS correspondent Scott Pelley told the audience that the President was tired and therefore had some trouble speaking - which turned out to be true.

That was a solid courtesy from Mr. Pelley, one that I might have offered myself. The nation knows Joe Biden is feeling the effects of age, and to report that is not out of line.

The rest of the interview was predictable, with soft questions like "is freeing the hostages your highest priority?"

Come on, Scott. What do you expect him to say?

Mr. Biden's policy of supporting Israel is correct, but, in my opinion, he and his administration have no insight into the vicious dilemma that has been going on since 1948.

The President trotted out the old misdirection of establishing "two independent states" in the region, and that is utter nonsense. The Palestinians are completely dominated by terrorists who want to exterminate Jews, so how can you have a peaceful state?

You can't.

We've reached a point in history where American leaders are largely mediocrities with no insights or historical knowledge whatsoever. And no matter how rested he might be - President Biden will always occupy that category. At this point, he plays a ceremonial role in this country, relying on staff to tell him what to say and do.

The extreme danger is the savages know it.

See you this evening for the No Spin News.
