Conservatives are split over the Chris Cuomo deal. Some believe he reaped what he sowed when a guy insulted him in a restaurant. Others think the growing hatred toward political opponents has reached the danger zone.
I am in the latter category perhaps because I had to have security throughout my tenure with Fox News.
No question Mr. Cuomo overreacted when called “Fredo” by an annoying bystander. But the CNN commentator was with his family and, in cases like that, things can get tense fast. And they did.
As I said last night, the political hatred in this country is shameful and the media, including Mr. Cuomo, is largely responsible.
And, as the presidential campaign ramps up this fall, things are about to get worse.
