If you followed the amazingly slanted news coverage of the illegal immigrant situation over the weekend, one theme emerged from the protesters: foreign nationals have a “right” to come to the United States and that’s that.
On Long Island where I live, the left-leaning newspaper Newsday quoted a man named Hector Acosta: “I feel fortunate that my parents had the know how and means to bring my entire family to the United States and I believe that everyone should have that right.”
Everyone.
Of course that view is naive and dangerous but for those holding it - they are espousing virtue and compassion.
The dark force on the far left is harnessing that “righteous indignation” to advance the open border philosophy and attack those who oppose it - most of all President Trump.
The truth is that President Trump and President Obama both made mistakes separating children from parents who violated US immigration law. Because of the wave of asylum seekers, the feds will now have to house those folks on military bases until their cases are heard.
Homeland Security should have anticipated the asylum situation which is driven by people smugglers but it did not. President Trump’s Executive Order reversing the child separations was the right thing to do but the initial chaos gave the dark left the opening it needed.
The truth is the United States has been very generous over years accepting foreign nationals who want to live here. Right now, close to 30 percent of our entire population are legal immigrants and their children. But millions of folks have chosen to violate our immigration laws and that must stop. It is estimated that dealing with immigration chaos is now costing the American taxpayer more than 50 billion dollars a year.
Tonight on the No Spin News, we will tell the truth about the dark left and it’s radical agenda that is largely hidden from view.
Another compelling broadcast beginning at 7 eastern time. See you then.
