President Trump is especially testy about the federal assault on violence in some American cities. As usual, the progressive media has decided that Trump is a fascist and that federal authorities should simply watch people get shot to death on the streets with no intervention.

That’s what President Biden did.  See no evil.  No action needed.

So, when a leftist reporter asks the President about the so-called “war on Chicago,”  Mr. Trump’s annoyance level spikes.  He simply can’t believe the left would rather accept ongoing violence than tamp it down with federal protection.

If I were President, I’d be pleased the ideological media is opposed to restoring order.  Most Americans understand this is necessary in “out-of-control” progressive cities.  If state and local authorities refuse to protect the citizenry, the federal government has the authority to do so. Part of Donald Trump’s protective shield is the utter insanity of his media detractors. The extremists in the press, and there are many, actually help the Trump administration.  It’s like a vaccine against criticism.
