Welcome to Fridays with Bill and Beck where the week’s hot topics are covered. One of the most important topics this week were the bombs that were delivered to CNN and various Democratic politicians. Bill says that for more than two years of constant negativity, constant criticism, constant smearing, CNN says that they do not bear any responsibility for what happened. Not just CNN, but other media outlets have alluded numerous times to “putting a bullet in Trump” or assassinating him, so they are just stoking the fire. Now the person who sent these bombs certainly had other issues, but it doesn’t help that this is the rhetoric that the press is sending out to the American people. What people don't understand is that in the beginning, the press didn't think that Donald Trump had a chance of winning the presidency. He was he was entertainment. That's how the press saw him. But when he started to win, the whole strategy changed. So, then the rhetoric became “Destroy Trump”. Those were the orders that came down from the editors of The New York Times. Not in those words but it was very clear what they wanted to do, this includes the Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, Google, Facebook, etc. How does Trump counter? What does he do? He doesn’t have a choice, but to fight back. So now with the bombs, the press is saying Trump did it. CNN says we're not responsible for any of it. Oh no not us. Hopefully, the vast majority of the American people understand what's happening.
Beck says the bomber could be somebody who was on the right and didn't want to kill anybody but wanted to make a statement and they were crazy. It could be somebody on the left who wanted to do the same thing. It could be somebody who is just a really unbelievably bad bomb maker, which is doubtful, but it could very well be somebody who thought 'you know what we're going to send these to the press, we're going to send these to all of the all of the enemies of the right to try and sway the election.'
The next topic that Beck brings up is the migrant caravan that is coming up from Honduras. Governor John Kasich made a statement saying that Americans should put ourselves in the migrants' shoes, however, Bill asks what that would do? Would he allow everyone to come into Ohio? These caravans of people who ask looking for asylum are basically wrecking a system that does provide true opportunity for 320 million Americans. Bill says that the Mexican government will break up a lot of the caravan before they start getting onto to vehicles because it’s nearly impossible for them to walk to McAllen, Texas or Tijuana. Some of them will get on trains heading north those trains have to stop in Mexico City and that's where the Mexican government should start to intervene.
The last topic which was also covered on BillOReilly.com earlier in the week was that one in four college students were in critical distress. In response to the Trump election 25 percent said they felt like they had PTSD. Bill says that is why we’re seeing the rise of opioids in America, but those people will fail. They will fail in our system because our system is not going to change it's going to be competitive. It's going to be self-reliance that the progressives would love to change it but it's not going to change in our lifetime. And these people who have all of this anxiety about Donald Trump being president or whatever else it may be are going to fail in the marketplace to give you the opportunity to address.
