President Trump believes elections in America have been compromised and is attempting to persuade “we the people” that his assertion is true.

Mr. Trump had to know before his speech on Thursday that the Democrat leadership was not going to believe anything he said or any document he presented.  And that’s exactly what happened.  The Dems rejected his whole presentation, and their media enablers, CNN, ABC, and NBC wouldn’t even broadcast the speech.  I guess “Naked and Afraid” was on.

The President declassified a bunch of intelligence documents which stated the following.

- That between January 2020 (Biden’s inauguration) and June 2026, China and other adversaries hacked or otherwise procured information about the American voter, including registration status.

- That China illegally accessed millions of “voter files.”

- That members of the U. S. Intelligence services knew about the Chinese intrusion but covered it up. It should be noted that no names were declassified,

- That at least 278,000 non-citizens are currently registered to vote.

The President declassified 25 documents to back up his allegations.

Nevertheless, much of the Democratic leadership, as well as the anti-Trump media, called the President’s actions “baseless” without any data at all backing their dissent up.

This is all happening because President Trump wants Congress to pass the “SAVE America Act” whereby proof of citizenship must be shown in order to vote.

The Democrats will not support the proposed legislation no matter what data is presented.  To them, it’s all baseless.  It’s all lies.  The liberal point of view is that producing proof of citizenship is a burden on some voters who primarily support the Democratic Party.  Senator Lisa Murkowski, a Republican in name, is an exception. She points out that Alaska is so rural, the SAVE America Act would be onerous, which is true.

So, that’s where the nation finds itself. The opposing party does not believe anything the President says because they want to destroy him.

Many Dems do not believe Iran seeks a nuclear weapon.  They do not want immigration law enforced.  They are fine with no bail laws.  The opposition party does not want more stringent voting procedures.  The chaotic California situation is acceptable, China or no China.

Reasonable debate now comes down to this: President Trump is bad.  Everything he says and does is bad.  No amount of backup is needed - it’s all “baseless” anyway.

Looking back on previous presidents, I don’t think we as a country have ever been in this position before.  Maybe the southern hatred for Abraham Lincoln was worse than animus towards Trump. Maybe.

Many Americans don’t know what to believe.  So, for them, it comes down to ideology and personality.  They will vote in November according to their financial situation.  Affordability.

You will hear that word hundreds of times.  It’s a real problem, but few solutions have been offered by either side.

Finally, here’s what I believe: both China and Russia did try to influence the American vote since 2015.  Espionage.

A number of anti-Trump intelligence people tried to downplay the situation, especially in the Comey FBI.

Vote “bundlers” in mostly blue states are abusing the mail-in process, and a number of liberal states will not investigate.

There are relatively small numbers of foreign-born voters on the rolls.  California leads the league on this.

Democrats do not want any voting reforms whatsoever.

The liberal press does not believe there’s any problem at all.  It’s all fabricated.

President Trump will be blocked in the Senate from securing the “SAVE America Act.”

So that’s where we are.  A precarious place to be.  China and Russia well understand the advantage they have been given. Technology can disrupt an honest vote count, especially in tight races.

That’s not baseless; it is happening.  But our country is so divided, little if anything will be done.  You’ll see.
