THE WILD WEEK THAT WAS

Bill began Friday's No Spin News by urging everyone to say a prayer for Republican Congressman Steve Scalise, who remains in critical condition after being shot Wednesday in Alexandria, Virginia. As you know, the shooter was 66-year-old James Hodgkinson, who set out to shoot and kill Republicans "The guy was a very disturbed and violent individual," Bill observed, "and the fuse was lit by his anti-Republican views.  He was an evil man and, if you are a believer, he is paying the price right now."

Taking a much broader view, Bill bemoaned the toxic atmosphere in the USA today:  "There is no question that the hatred directed at Donald Trump has now affected this nation in a way that is brutal,  and it has to stop.  My job is to tell you who the haters are and what they are doing, and we will do that in a very specific way going forward.  There are shadow groups who wish to destroy the president.  They are paying demonstrators to cause trouble, they are threatening sponsors of radio and television programs, and these are the crews we will be going after.  I believe this country is now in danger because of this 'resistance,' and it has to be dealt with."

"If Donald Trump went out tomorrow," Bill continued, only in half-jest, "and said he's going to feed every poor person in the country for the next thirty days, the 'resistance' would complain that he's making people fat.  This movement wants to find some way to delegitimize President Trump."

On another major story, Bill reiterated that no one should be surprised that special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating President Trump, which the president has acknowledged.  Mueller's task is to investigate and that's just what he's doing.  "The president tweets that this is a witch hunt," Bill said, "and it is a witch hunt, but there may be elements of the Trump campaign that did some things wrong."

The No Spin News moved to the very disturbing story of Otto Warmbier, the 22-year-old college student who visited North Korea and was imprisoned there for more than a year for committing "hostile acts" against that ridiculous and oppressive government.  He is now back home in the states, but is suffering tremendously.  "This was a healthy kid who was thrown into jail," Bill reported, "and he now has a brain injury and it looks like he may not recover.  The North Koreans killed an American citizen and they have to pay a price.  I'm going to watch President Trump to see how he handles this.  This is just disgusting!"

The remainder of Friday's podcast was devoted to questions and comments from Premium Members.  Bill noted that Trump-hatred is unlikely to diminish on MSNBC and CNN, where ratings have actually gone up in lockstep with the incessant vitriol.  And then there is the political side of the equation:  "Nancy Pelosi will never, ever criticize her progressive movement because she is craven.  She is not looking out for the country or you, she is looking out for herself and her progressive colleagues."  Bill also noted that President Trump has not had a single moment when he is not under attack by Democrats and the media and, therefore, he has every right to fight back.

Most of you seem to find the daily No Spin News webcast informative and entertaining, and you're soon going to like it even more.  Bill revealed that two very popular features – Word of the Day and Tip of the Day – will be included in the always-improving and ever-expanding webcast.  There will also be some of your favorite guests, among them Laura Ingraham, Bernie Goldberg, and Dennis Miller.

Speaking of the D-Man, he and Bill have a couple of shows this weekend in Westbury, Long Island.  While those are sold out, The Spin Stops Here tour will hit Baltimore, Tampa, Las Vegas, and Anaheim later in the year.  All the show and ticket information is here on BOR.com.

Have a great weekend, everyone, especially all you dads out there.
