O'Reilly on Hannity: The Lost Work Ethic in America; Abolishing the Electoral College
April 3, 2019

Each Wednesday Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity discuss and debate the biggest stories in the news cycle. This week: O'Reilly and Hannity discuss their own personal upbringings and the mentality that was instilled in them by both their parents and grandparents. The common theme- work hard. Plus a look at the wealth tax and the abolishment of the electoral college.

The change that has taken over an America that, as Bill put it, “it was a mobility that was driven by hard work and self-reliance.” Now today, there is a sense of “entitlement and victimhood.”

The two then review the recently released Gallup poll analyzing the “have” and “have nots”. Most Americans believe that if you’re born into a circumstance that you don’t have a lot of money you can work your way out of that. It is possible to rise up in this country.

Bill O’Reilly explain why he thoroughly agrees with this, stating, “the false narrative that is being thrown out on the progressive left that, no, no, no the government has to do it for you. You can’t do it, you’re not capable of doing it. It’s so it is arrogant and to give these people power, it is frightening.”

The next topics is the idea of a wealth tax. The left wants to guarantee everything from education to health care to jobs. When asked how they are going to pay for it, they have no answer. They will have to confiscate the wealthy’s homes and other personal items. This would quickly collapse the economy.

Bill brings up the example of two American cities that are falling apart due to the extensive government handouts that are being push by the elected officials in these far left cities.

“There are two American cities that are totally run by far left progressives, San Francisco and Seattle. They are both falling apart and I mean falling apart visually, you can walk down the street and see what the philosophy of the government will take care of you leads to.”

Two conclude with this new idea being pushed by some Democrats to get rid of the electoral college and the impact that would have on the country, plus stacking the Supreme Court.
