President Donald Trump has moved the announcement of his "Fake News Awards," to Wednesday, Jan. 17. The president initially said he would be announcing the accolades this Monday, and didn't give a reason for the change.
Trump, a frequent critic of the mainstream press, last week said he would be announcing, "THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR," and that subjects would cover, "Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media."
Trump latest tweet comes amid a firestorm over an explosive new book about the Trump presidency, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House." The book raised questions about Trump's mental fitness, and in former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon said he thought the 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer was “treasonous.” |
