As you may have heard, Hampshire College in Massachusetts has stopped flying the American flag so as to "facilitate a dialogue." That decision by college president Jonathan Lash merited a special visit from Jesse Watters. Here's what some local residents told him: "A lot of people here live in an alternative universe, it's really leftist" ... "Hampshire is the most liberal college in this region" ... "I can't see a reason for an institution not to fly the flag." Watters confronted Lash himself, who absolutely, positively refused any and all comment, except one: "I don't want to talk to you about it." Back in the studio, Watters described Hampshire as the ultimate bastion of anything-goes liberalism. "You can major in ultimate Frisbee or basket weaving, there are no grades. This is the environment we are dealing with." The Factor concluded with a shot at college president Lash, describing him as "a villain and a coward."
