Happy Labor Day!

Happy Labor Day to all honest, hard-working Americans. Which is most of us. However, there are millions of folks who embrace sloth (word of the day) and expect you and I to support them. The Democratic Party has heavily recruited that group.

You can make a case that President Trump is the hardest-working Chief Executive in history. No question that Warren G. Harding was the laziest. James Buchanan was a slacker as well. We lay all that out in “Confronting the Presidents.”

Mr. Trump is absolutely driven to succeed. He plays some golf but that’s about it for leisure. Every day is a work day.

Abraham Lincoln was on call 24/7 with the Civil War. His tenure in the White House was a work-a-thon. Little down time; it was something every day as the nation was on the brink of destruction.

Finally, the United States is the most prosperous country on the planet because Americans work harder than the Swedes, or the Turks, or everybody.

We simply out labor the competition. And that has certainly paid off.
